buda fine arts fest

in october i participated in the buda fine arts fest and had a great time as well as met some fun people -- if you get a chance check out affinitymetalworks.com - really nice metal work -- i was honored to win best of show and to be asked to be featured artist for 2011, so i look forward to that-

i also was privileged to have three pieces hanging at gallery nord in san antonio in conjuction with the fasa annual fiber exhibit through nov 5th -- if you can make it there are some really wonderful pieces on display showcasing the fiber artists in san antonio and surrounding areas -- the gallery itself is a work of art - light and airy with beautiful large open spaces - i can't wait to see more exhibits there - it is located at 2009 n.w. military drive - you need to go and see how beautiful it is

hi everyone -- after a break i am back -- just to update you --
i am doing a collaborative piece with susie hettleman, a gifted fiber artist from elgin -- it will be shown at the dougherty arts center in austin for the AVAA show -The Art of Collaboration -- opening on august 5th and running through august 28th with the opening reception on august 10th from 6 - 8
if you get a chance come down to see the show -- many fine artists are involved and i will be posting pictures of the artwork online for those of you who can't make it -- hopr to see you there--
also -- i will participating in the 44th annual Salado Art Fair in Salado Texas on august 7-8 located in beautiful pace park -- it is a great show with lots of beautiful art for sale and a nice getaway -- please take the time to support the arts and come and visit

i finished this piece in time for the fayetteville art walk -it is carpet warp knotted over hardware cloth, bamboo, hemp, and handmade paper-- dimensions are 25 in x 10 inx 6in -- i have added a detail for those of you who wish to get a close up look
